What do you do? High School Science Teacher. What is an average training week? A typical training week ranges somewhere between 12-16 hours. I usually put in about 12,000 yards swimming, 200 miles on the bike, and between 30-40 miles running each week. Why do you enjoy what you do so much? For me, triathlons aren't something that I do on a few occasional weekends throughout the year. It is a lifestyle that I live. Many of my closest friends are in this sport, which makes training social and not just working out. What are your goals? Every day I train to get faster. My main goals in this sport are to keep improving on myself. Most significant achievement? Qualifying for Kona this past June at Eagleman Ironman 70.3. Most exciting event or adventure? One of my biggest thrills in this sport was winning a local triathlon here in NJ. It is hard to describe the feeling of finishing a race before anyone else. Greatest indulgence? Ice Cream!!
