What do you do? Sales Manager.

What is an average training week? Depending where I am in the phase calendar, my training can be as little as 10 –15 hours a week, or up to 20-25 hrs a week.  I train 6 days a week, with Monday’s being my day off.

Why do you enjoy what you do so much? I love this sport for many reasons.  It helps me live a healthy lifestyle both physically and mentally.  Triathlons keep me disciplined and focused.  This carries over to other aspects of my life, which helps me become more successful in life.  The drive and determination to be the best also helps with the competitive nature I have.

What are your goals? Being that 2008 is my first year in the sport of triathlon, my short term goals are to get acclimated in the triathlon world and complete my races with impressive results that will allow to begin to build a name for myself.  My long term goals include building upon my successes and learning from my downfalls.  I would like to build to the point where I am placing in high profile races and reach elite amateur status.  From there I can reevaluate my goals and progress forward.

Most significant achievement? Being a positive role model for my sisters.  It is never ending, but hope one day it is achieved and becomes my most successful achievement.

Most exciting event or adventure? In 2006 I rode by bike from San Francisco to Washington DC on a two month journey to raise funds and awareness on behalf of people with disabilities.  It was like being a professional cyclist where we would wake up to ride all day, make public appearances and friendship visits.  It was not glamorous, as we slept on gymnasium floors most nights, but it was two months of solid cycling without having to worry about anything else in the world.  I was able to see some really cool parts of the country that I would have never otherwise seen.  Plus, I got to climb the Rockies and reached the 12,000ft summit.  This is the event that got me into cycling, so it was sort of a two month crash course for me, but look where it has led me to.

Greatest indulgence? Rocky Road Ice Cream, Cherry Pie.

Thoughts on Jaggad apparel? From my experience, Jaggad is an innovative and professional company trying to outfit athletes with the high quality garments that will help athletes reach their goals.  Also, Jaggad is a really cool name for a multi-sport clothing company!

Final Words? Stay Focused, Stay Strong, and Kick Butt!!!
