About 25 hours a week: long, fast swim sessions; hard rides with super fast intervals; and runs that make my quads explode!! I love to push my training! Why do you enjoy what you do so much? hmmm... good question! I love the spirit of competition and the feeling of knowing I left it all on the line. Nothing beats crossing the finish line and looking up at the clock at a new PR. What are your goals? I want to compete with the pros next season, and turn pro the season after. Heather Gollnick is a mentor of mine who is showing me how to train, race, and live like a champion. Most significant achievement? Ironman Louisville 2007; I qualified for Kona and shaved over 2 hours off my previous finish time! Most exciting event or adventure? Competing in the Hawaii Ironman World Championships in 2007. Nothing beats being out on the lava fields with the greatest names of the sport and I was able to cross the finish line with my family in tow. It's such an emotional race and can't easily be topped. Greatest indulgence? Cinnamon Toast Crunch... put a full box in front of me and it will be gone in minutes!! Thoughts on Jaggad apparel? Jaggad took me to a new Ironman PR. I have never felt so comfortable during a race! The quality is unmatched and the designs are unique!! I especially love the hot pink racing kits!! |
