Comments on fit & style: I am not normally very excited about wearing vests, but this one made me reconsider. The cut of this vest is perfect. It stays in place and does not rub on the hips or work its way up when exercising. The pockets are at a comfortable height in back so you can reach in easily, and are deep enough that things don’t fall out right away. Inside of one of the pockets is a Velcro secured pocket. The secure pocket is perfect for holding ID, keys, or a little bit of money without having to worry about it falling out. The neck was high enough to provide a little wind protection at the neck without the irritation of a turtle neck. The logo on the front is attractive and has a slightly feminine touch. The only thing I might change is a small chest pocket or small internal pocket that would have quicker access than the one in the back.

Comments on fabric: I wore this out for a run in very windy conditions. It kept my neck comfortable and blocked the wind. There was enough stretch in the fabric that is did not impair movement, but was substantial enough to maintain warmth. The one I purchased was white on the torso, and was nice and bright with the contrasting dark logo. The texture of the fabric is soft and does not feel like the typical nylon jacket to block the wind. The mesh area in the back provided enough ventilation that my back did not feel wet and chilled.

Summary: I own several windproof and waterproof garments already, but the fabric on this one did not leave me feeling like I was wearing something too heavy or stiff for running. This really felt like it designed to allow movement, and provided great wind protection at the same time. I wore it over the interchange tee and was comfortable in cool windy conditions, and was comfortable at the end without excessive moisture build up. I think this will be a nice piece to wear in a wide range of weather conditions, but will also go with me to triathlons in Washington where we often get wind or rain. It is a close enough fit to the body that it will be comfortable on the bike. I will definitely buy more pieces made from this fabric in the near future.
