Ladies Invest JacketWhat types of activities do you think this garment would be good for? I have worn this Invest Jacket for long runs, intervals, cycling, and just out with friends. In every situation it was a great jacket. Performance exceeded all expectations and to get comments on the style when out in the evening just adds another dimension.
Comments on fit & style: I recently received my Invest Jacket (1210) and from the moment I took it out of the box, I couldn’t wait to try it on and test it out. In fact, I went for an interval workout in cold and damp conditions about an hour later. When first trying the jacket on, I was struck by the fit through the body and the arms. The high collar is great in colder weather for neck protection. Fitted through the arms with good cuffs to prevent ride-up with both aero-position and natural arm swing with running. When wearing this jacket in cold conditions both riding and running, I have been impressed with the warmth it provides. I am consistently seeking more warmth when training, with the Invest Jacket I found very little layering necessary to be warm.
Jaggad hit the style right on (again!) with this jacket. The Invest jacket has all the small features that make Jaggad garments unique. Lined zipper pull with branding, top zipper protectant to prevent rubbing at the face, as well as stylish and integrating branding. I wore this jacket out in the evening and received several comments about how stylish it was.
Comments on fabric: The Invest Jacket is definitely a warm garment. The outer fabric provides a decent level of wind-stop for riding or running. Light rain or road moisture is no problem in this jacket! Riding on a wet day, I was able to simply wipe the jacket off after my ride and all the road spray wiped away. The fleecy lining inside wicks away moisture while keeping you warm. The Invest Jacket is surprisingly easy to move and perform in, considering its heavier weight. Having the ability to convert to vest allows a great versatility for keeping your body core warm on those days with changing conditions. Because the outer fabric is a little stiffer, this jacket has a slightly tighter feel through the shoulders, although not restrictive. If looking to layer or for a looser fit, consider ordering one size up.
Summary: Looking to buy warm outer layer that hits high on the style scale? The Invest Jacket is it and worth the pampering! This jacket has quickly become my staple jacket for less than desirable training days! Knowing I will be warm and dry makes early season training outdoors, that much easier. I have come to expect great things from Jaggad and the Invest Jacket does not disappoint. Fit, Function, and Flair! A close, comfortable fit allows for improved warmth while allowing good body movement during activity. The ability to convert to a vest allows for increased use as weather conditions change – even during a workout. I have travelled multiple times with the Invest Jacket as my only jacket – never disappointed with the styling, easy to pack and versatile function. Can use it for a workout in the morning and a cover in the evening.
What types of activities do you think this garment would be good for? Cycling, running, pre/post activities
Comments on fit & style: The fit and style of this jacket works well for both running and cycling. The first time I wore it cycling I underestimated how effective it would be at keeping me warm. I purchased this jacket one size larger than I normally wear and it provided the perfect amount of room for riding in the aero position. It is comfortable for running in as well. The length hits at a comfortable spot across the hip so that cool air does not creep in, and is cut to allow a comfortable arm swing during activity.
Comments on fabric: This fabric is wonderful. It is soft against the skin, but not overly fuzzy. It works well over short sleeve and sleeveless items, and also works well over the interchange tee to provide extra warmth. The layers did not stick together or bunch up during use, so it continued to allow full movement during activity. I’ve been very pleased with the ability of this fabric to block the wind without the feel of wearing a noisy windbreaker type of jacket.
Summary: After trying the Endeavor vest, I knew I was going to want this jacket and have not been disappointed. Normally I don’t like running or cycling wearing a jacket and will often just not go if it requires that much clothing, but this has allowed me to be able to do these activities comfortably in cooler weather. Motion is unrestricted, fabric feels great against bare skin and works well over layers, and offers the versatility of removing the sleeves if conditions change and you get warmer. When the sleeves are removed, the shoulder area has the appearance of a normal vest without the looking like fit or style is compromised as typically seen with hybrid garments. The pocket in the back is large enough to hold the sleeves so it can be changed while you are on the road. The attention to details and comfortable fabric set this apart from other running jackets. It is perfect for the early morning starts on a ride when clothing needs will change as the day progresses.
Comments on fabric: Loved the fabric - stopped the wind from getting to my
core and kept me really warm! I loved it as a vest. I am always cold on rides
and the vest was perfect for keeping me warm.
Activities this garment would be good for: Cold weather riding, riding in the
rain/wind, also great for winter hiking, cross-country skiing
Overall: Even though it doesn't get frosty cold in CA in the winter. I always
get cold on rides and vests don't keep me warm. This was perfect as a vest,
because it kept the wind out and the fleece liner helped me stay superwarm!
Angela Chong Reviews Ladies Invest JacketFirst Impressions:
I was thrilled when the jacket arrived and was really happy with the colour,
fit and sizing. I've only just started using the Jaggad line of clothes and
so far they are unexpectedly comfortable - no scratchy feeling - no abrasions
- and this jacket continues in the same manner. I am very sensitive to the
cold and so far the jackets I've used have either stiff oilskin type wind
proofing or heavily fortified steelwire wool lining This one was warm, windproof
yet soft. In fact I wore it today - the day when NSW weather forecast record
high winds and rolling red clouds. I'm happy to say that the jacket held
out - keeping the wind in check without making me look like a helium filled
airship.
Activities:
I think this jacket is very versatile. I'm a leisure endurance sportsperson
( ie I'm slow) I've used the jacket on long bike rides. I think it would also
do well on boats / dive trips as it has two really desirable characteristics
- being both wind proof and water proof. I don't ski, but the girls at the
office thought it would do well on the powder So apart form the sports angle
the bonus part is that the cut is so nice that I'd happily wear it as a casual
outfit to brighten up my weekday office routine. Or take it on shopping expeditions
with the girls.!
Fit N Style:
Only one word - Great! I ve the short sassy look and the neat tapered shape.
On the bike, in spite of the very strong winds today, there was no flapping
or fluttering of sleeves or side panels . And my group of friends loved the
cut and shape.
Fabric:
Lovely fabric. Its unbelievably comfortable and soft. I haven't tested it in
the rain yet though....

Comments on fit & style: I ordered the Invest Jacket in a large, as that was the size of my other Jaggad jacket (Monsoon Jacket). When I first tried it on, I thought I had been sent a medium because of the snug fit, and I was a little concerned. One thing I like in a running jacket, for which the Invest was primarily going to be used, is range of motion. My concern was quickly allayed when I took my first run. The Invest Jacket hugs you without being too tight, and you do not get that sound of rubbing fabric. Excellent! I also like how you do not have to zip it completely up to stay warm. During the first “Test Run,” the temperature was a balmy minus 1 degree thanks to a steady 20+ mile per hour wind. As I warmed up with into the run, I was able to vent a bit by unzipping just slightly and none of the bitter wind got in! Only two negatives, and one of them is a personal preference. The first is that I would prefer about an extra inch on the sleeves. The second is that the pink fabric inside on the back panel bleeds when you sweat. (Hi Amy - a couple of washes first would have solved this one...) One of my white Zone tops now has a sheen of red to it on the back. Oh, the zipper pull on the back jacket could be a little longer, as it is a little tough to grasp when wearing running gloves.
Comments on fabric: I am often wary about jackets that claim to be waterproof yet breathable. However, the Invest Jacket lives up to the claim! I have taken two long runs (90-minutes plus) in steady downpours. The only dampness under the Jacket came from me sweating! In both freezing rain and just bitterly cold temperatures, I have never once gotten overheated in the Invest Jacket.
Summary: Believe what you read about the Invest Jacket! I have tackled sub-zero temperatures and pouring, freezing rains this winter in this jacket and never once wish I was wearing a different top. The jacket at first seems a little snug, but once you start running, you realize it moves well with you and doesn’t have all that excess fabric rubbing between your arms and torso. The adjustable waist is an extra bonus when you want to vent a little heat that builds up, but it does not let in any of the cold or rain. In two runs in steady downpours, my running mates were soaked by run’s end despite their “waterproof” jackets. The only dampness under the Invest Jacket was from sweating. (But my Zone top also made sure to wick away the sweat so I did not get chilled after the run!). I would be hard-pressed to find a better jacket for all types of inclement weather.
