The Tribal Dance Collection for Jaggad’s AW17 Collection 1 mixes rich tones and contrasting colours together to create a warmth and strong presence this season.
Taking inspiration from the fluidity of movement with a mixture of loose and tighter fitting garments, this capsule aims to accentuate and enhance silhouettes through the use of colour, shadow, texture and balance.
Style tight tops with looser bottoms to show off shape and the opposite to create more curves. With portions of shadowing and texture used throughout the printed pieces, we have added drape features & panelling within tops and bottoms to create a flattering look where many women don’t feel comfortable.
The Tribal Dance Print
Inspired by an image of an art installation with a combination of cubes & cylinders the Tribal Dance Print formed and grew.
With the use of light bouncing from one shape to another, shadows and texture moulded into an abstract and aesthetically pleasing form to create an eye-catching and intrinsic design.
The great thing about this print is that it mixes bold and odd colours together - Terracotta, Maroon, Violet and Grey interchanged with each shape creating texture and contrast. Staying on par with our signature style and design aesthetics, the Tribal Dance Print uses colour graduation to flatter a women’s figure with the darkest point being around the hips and brighter colour forming as the eye goes down the length of the leg. With the use of multiple lines presented on a curve, this print gives the appearance of the leg being slimmer then it is, complimenting the frame & making you feel your best and give you confidence as you workout. The Tribal Dance crop has contrasting dark panels that line the shape of the bust making an all over print not accentuate the figure in the wrong way.
Women’s Capsule
The women’s capsule for this collection encapsulates balance and versatility with pieces to warm up, train and cool down in and stay true to our key pillars of fashion, function, and performance. Our signature Merino Tech muscle tanks, have been updated with a feminine, drape open back feature to create shape, ventilation and a looser looking garment.
Merino Wool has also been utilised in our unique statement piece of the collection, the ‘Shake It Dance Shorts’ which was inspired by dance, creating movement and building a bit more shape on the female frame. Styled over the Tribal Dance Spin Shorts, it is a really fun and eye-catching piece for this season great for running, walking and to wear leisurely when getting your morning coffee.
The longer length Tribal Dance Spin short we have found to be a functional and ‘on-trend’ length for this season, ideal for the conservative area of the legs to wear for your tough gym workouts, and they won’t ride up.
The Promenade Dance Track pant is a versatile piece of this collection and a must-have for all wardrobes. It is lightweight and can be styled in two ways: scrunched up or loosely down. Great to wear dancing, yoga or even just to lounge around in day-to-day.
The Arena Dance Tops Capped Sleeved or Long-sleeved are key performance looks of this collection. They are strong, form fitting, and will support you through any work out. The cropped length will show off your hard work in the gym and looks on point teamed back with leggings or dance shorts.
Men’s Capsule
The Men’s range features our signature muscle tanks and tees with seasonal updates. Merino tech muscle tanks feature mesh panelling for breathability and ventilation. Incorporating pop colours of the season, there is no reason why the guys can’t make a statement too!
We have also introduced our new Jaggad DRY-YARN fabric for men this season. A performance fibre that is moisture wicking, quick drying, lightweight and comfortable to wear for any workout. The print placement and feature on the Long Sleeve Tee and Short Sleeve Tee is designed to accentuate the physique and a performance look.
A new men’s tight have been introduced. An alternative to compression, they are made of our Jaggad Signature High Support™ fabric which is a strong, sweat absorbing, quick drying and a firm fit. The line details in contrast stitching on these tights take inspiration from the male anatomy, following curves in a way to highlight the muscles of the legs. A printed feature panel on the calf adds a seasonal twist and can be styled under our gym shorts or on their own for a high performance look.
